About Us

DEDICATED TO PRESCHOOL EDUCATION

The Cartwright School is a uniformed, academic child care program for preschool children aged 18 mos. - 5 years old. The childcare facility has been open and operational since September 2011 and is family owned and operated. TCS provides students with a stimulating learning environment that will increase the child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. 


At The Cartwright School, the children learn through age-appropriate play experiences, music, art, and active participation in an environment suited to each young learner's needs. We encourage not only academics but also the motivation to become self-learners and love for acquiring new knowledge and skills. We want to provide an atmosphere and a reliable program that will equip each child with self-confidence, independence, and robust cognitive and social skills. 


The Cartwright School understands the significance of relationships between teachers, students, parents, and the community. We are here to encourage continuous collaboration for our children's success! 

Three-Star Certified TRS School

✨What is Texas Rising Star?

Texas Rising Star (TRS) is a quality-based childcare rating system of daycare providers participating in the Texas Workforce Commission's (TWC) subsidized childcare program. TRS Certified Providers are committed to benchmark improvements in their programs. These certified centers offer care that exceeds the State's Minimum Child Care Licensing Standards in five (5) categories. TRS evaluates: 1. Director and Staff Qualifications and Training, 2. Caregiver-Child Interactions, 3. Curriculum, 4. Nutrition and Indoor/Outdoor Activities, and 5. Parent Education and Involvement.

Star Rating

All TRS Certified Providers have a star rating, and higher quality programs have a higher star rating. 

** 2-Star Level - Exceeds the minimum licensing requirements in all five categories.

*** 3-Star Level - Meets high-quality standards in all five categories

**** 4-Star Level - Meets highest standards of quality in all five categories
